Arthur Hunt died peacefully 18th February 2009. He has been a champion of vervet monkeys for so long, and he has done more for vervets than anyone else in South Africa. He will be so sorely missed by all in the vervet community, he was much loved and admired by everyone. I know that his work will carry on in capable hands, he left a legacy that can never die.The Vervet Foundation, his dream, his reality, is such an achievement that in itself it is a tribute to this great man. Arthur, rest in peace my friend, you will be missed so much by so many people. Some people make the world SPECIAL just by being in it, Arthur was one of them.
